Collected from the wall as a reward - not sure if it comes from somewhere else. Gives double rewards when harvesting crops. Lasts for 5 minutes
How to Jack Lumber
Created in the library using 2 book bindings (musty pages/spine threading) and 8 Old Lumberjack Tales (from chopping oak/pine trees)Gives double rewards when chopping trees. Lasts 15 minutes
Shearing for Shave-Tails
Created in the library using 3 book bindings and 8 Scottish Wisdom (from tending sheep)Gives double rewards when tending animals. Lasts 15 minutes
Squeezing the Stone
Created in the library using 5 book bindings and 8 Survival stories (from clearing debris)Gives double rewards when clearing debris. Lasts 15 minutes
Peppermint Earthquake
Created in the in the Candy Shop using 2 Maple Sugar Leaf (drops from rock candy sheep), 3 brown sugar cubes (wall post) to create candy sugar, 4 candy sugar and 7 peppermint cream (requested from friends are used to create one peppermint earthquake)Gives 3X rewards when collecting from fruit trees (candy gram boxes are considered trees, helpful in finishing the letters) Lasts 15 minutes.
FRUIT READY
Received when turning in the Mule Collection-- to get more mules turn in the horse collection-- to get more horses turn in the wayward rocket collection (from harvesting apple trees)
Candy Heart Press tip:
This takes a bit of time and resources but much faster than collecting the Candy Heart Mix from the wall posts.
You receive two candy mailboxes from completing a mission. Use the fruit ready boost (from turning in the mule collection) to make them ready to harvest again -- the key to this is the peppermint earthquakes that you create in the Candy Shop. Use a peppermint earthquake and this gives TRIPLE drops of the collection items. Turn in the Heart Letter Collections and you get a Love Mystery Crate, this drops 5 words which you can use in creating the love letters needed.
Dog Uses-- Train your dog hunting, herding and digging skills. I've discovered that this trick works every 12 hours instead of every 24 hours - Go to your collections and add the piece you want the most to your wish list (does not work on premium collections or the pillow in the inn) and use your dog twice daily to clear debris, this will give you your collection item, after that it will give food, cloth, fire or wood.
-- Use your dog to make animals ready. There is a secret to this! Tend your animal with your avatar then click the red X in your game toolbox, then choose your dog and tend the animal you want to make ready. Click the red X to deactivate the dog and then click your avatar again and use that to tend your animal. If you do NOT click the red X when changing between avatar/dog, it will not take.
-- If you have a small amount of debris on your homestead that you need to clear but do not want to bring on a flash fire (particularly important for those without the white rideable grizzly), use your trained dog to clear - no fires will come up if you're using the dog!
Military Parcel Wagon
This is a great tool for finishing collections. Use the red eye (created in the saloon) or building boosts (get from turning in the hidden hideout collection that you get for harvesting corn). This item gives 5 collection items when you collect the daily bonus, I have finished many collections (including the inn, diamond, gold, silver and bronze carnival collections). Very useful items.
Glassworks, Quilts, Flags
Creating these items drops premium crops and other useful items -- the more points when crafting drops better items. Keep collecting the patch backings, canvas patches and perfect glass to create these.
Energy
Running out of energy? Build your food stores up by planting and harvesting the yellow mustard. Each harvest will drop 55 food but if you use the crop whisperer/mumbler then you will get 109 food per crop - I have 1.44 million food stores by doing this, I never have to worry about running out of energy!
Lumber Yard
Add trees to the lumber yard - it increases the amounts of chops you can get from the trees, pine for example will give 10 chops instead of the 8 on your homestead. Oak gives 15 instead of 12.
****I do not know if the How to Jack Lumber book (double rewards for chopping) works on trees in the Lumber Yard -- let me know if it does/does not.
White Rideable Grizzly
This is a mission reward - once you get it, you can clobber varmints, fires, tornados etc with one hit!

**reminder -- have one item out on the homestead to do your collecting from, when the time on that expires, start again until you have enough to fully tend half (with partner) or a whole item yourself and then place a NEW animal and tend as fast as possible in order to get the best odds of reaching goal. Do NOT feed as you collect or you most likely will NOT get the goal and will have to start again.
